The term “upright” is confusing to me. If you plan to open the face then Insert the 16g weight into the back cavity and the two 1 g weights into the toe and heel cavities. For example, take the club I reviewed — an R9 TP with 9. I have a difficult time hitting a fade or slice.

I immediately felt in control of proceedings on the tee – although in part this was due to simply feeling much more comfortable than I did with TaylorMade’s Burner Superfast model. So best incerase pass on this thing and onn be happy with my or yard drives I now get with my current driver, at least they are on the fairway. Your email address will not be published. Before the screw stripped the threads it did feel good incgease hitting. Added about 20yards of average extra carry and additional roll. Also, I feel that there is more feedback here than my current Cobra HS-9 driver.
So whats the difference in the r9 and r9other than being able to have more workability with the r9?

It may be a bit of a stretch, but you can certainly get from one side of the fairway to the other — a good 20 or 25 yards — with MWT alone. Still trying to get it fixed and have not even been able to play with it yet. Has anybody else had this problem, i have noticed there is not that much thread engagement in the sleeve about 3 or 4 threads which is to me not enough thread engagement for something that had that much torque when hitting.
If you plan to open the face then Use the TaylorMade R9 wrench to turn the bolt counterclockwise, loosening it. The ball just goes.

Sign in or Register with Golfalot. Use the TaylorMade R9 wrench to tighten the weights. I have got my hands on a tp r9 9. You have to tee the ball extremely high and it iincrease extremely unforgiving if you hit on the bottom of the club.

Also talked over the phone with Taylormade and two different times i got two different answers, first was the sleeve was aluminum with a steel helicoil and the second time they told me it was made out of Titanium.
Just a helpful warning. A worthy if expensive club, the R9 SuperTri is lotf to fault but also difficult to fall in love with!
The problem for me is and which has been cited is that I never change these things, shaft angle, the weights and what not. Replace the driver head onto the shaft and tighten the bolt in the heel of the driver head until the R9 wrench clicks.
It is high on the club and on the inside of the center not by much. Moving the 16 g weight to the toe cavity and the two 1 g weights to the middle and heel cavities helps straighten the trajectory when you hook the ball.
Having another set of eyes, especially one that knows what to watch for with ball flight, will help you get the best fit faster than trial and error on your own. How stiff the shaft is means almost nothing.
